The Conversion Chicken Is Now Wordpress Enabled!
Hooray! After a mammoth coding effort it’s finally complete: The Conversion Chicken now fully integrates and works with wordpress blogs
You can simply download the new version of the Conversion Chicken from the email I’ve sent you (if you haven’t got the Conversion Chicken yet you can grab it at http://www.conversionchicken.com).
Then follow the instructions at: http://www.conversionchicken.com/support/wordpress-installation.php
I’ve made it into a wordpress plugin so all you have to do is upload the Conversion Chicken to your wordpress plugins folder, install it, enable the plugin and you’re nearly ready to go (read the instructions carefully as there are some critical steps to getting it working).
Be aware This is Alpha Version Meaning it’s still in development and there still may be conflicts with other plugins and themes. So don’t go installing it on a major blog that provides all your income without first testing it on another blog with the same plugins to ensure it works for you.
I’ve test it out on 3 different blogs of my own and found only one conflict so far, that is with OIOPublisher plugin. I’m still currently working on a fix however if you are using OIOPublisher at the moment you need to either disable it to get the Conversion Chicken to work or wait until I figure out a fix.
If you do install the Conversion Chicken on your blog and it does conflict with a plugin it shouldn’t make anything break but merely show an error message at the top of the admin panel saying:
“ERROR: A Wordpress Plugin is causing the Conversion Chicken to be unable to run. Current Known Problem Plugins Are: OIOPublisher. Please delete the conversionchicken plugin from your plugins folder and email support at support@conversionchicken.com With a list of all the plugins you are currently running.”
Please email me if you get that error with a list of your plugins and I’ll check them out to make a fix for you. You’ll also need to delete the wpplugin.php file inside the splittest folder in your plugins directory.
If your blog stops working for any reason (shouldn’t happen but there is a possibility) first delete all your cookies and restart your browser, generally that will fix the problem. If it doesn’t just delete the splittest folder from your plugins directory again and everything will go back to normal.
Enjoy the plugin and I hope you make many more sales with your blog!
Cheers, Tim
